As an Assistant Project Manager for RH Price, you’ll be supporting the project manager and superintendents in planning, executing, and completing projects on schedule and within budget. The position averages 50 hours per week and is a position that requires work in the field and office.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
The following represents a sampling of responsibilities performed at the Assistant Project Manager position.
- Assist Project Manager with planning, schedules, and pay applications, along with project related communications and administration
- Work collaboratively with Superintendent, project team members, and field personnel.
- Maintain customer and client relationships
- Learn to perform in depth review of all essential elements of assigned projects to identify challenges or opportunities to realize.
- Assist with reviewing drawings and specifications for constructability, completeness and accuracy
- Document on-site compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements and company policies.
- Perform material takeoffs for ordering and scheduling delivery or pickup of materials. Review corresponding invoices/pick tickets to verify quantities delivered and pricing.
- Assist with project closeout / punch list / warranty work.
- Field work responsibilities may include, but are not limited, to: o Learn to survey elevations and run levels to tie-in points (existing water, sewer, bores, etc.)
- Layout pipe centerlines, manholes, valves, fire hydrants, bore pits, set up bores, etc.
- Set-up traffic control measures, reference MUTCD and/or CDOT handbooks
- Verify erosion control measures and ensure maintenance for duration of the project
- Schedule and perform pipe testing, system connections, and assist with project staging
- Daily reports – maintain and log general notes, measurements, quantities, etc.
- 811, preconstruction and predig photos, and documentation of utility cuts/damages
Qualifications
- Positive attitude, respectful, honest, clean appearance.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working directly with clients, property owners, material suppliers, subcontractors, and engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or similar
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar field.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and algebraic proficiency.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, editing PDF files, and working with scheduling software
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a drug test.
Compensation
Salary set above local market average based on experience/past performance.
